People have often told us that Microsoft operating systems use a pattern, with good and bad versions alternating — Windows 95 (bad), Windows 98 (good), Windows Me (bad), Windows XP (good), Windows (bad), Windows 7 (good), Windows 8.x (bad), Windows 10 (good — now perhaps).
It’s mostly true, although if Windows had been given an identical length of life that Windows 10 has enjoyed to this point, there’s a good chance an appreciable portion of Windows users would continue to be using it today. Vista wasn’t bad for that reason, just very unfinished. Generally if the aging OS got a modern makeover, could it conquer Windows 10 users? I think so. Feast up your eyes on the Windows Vista — 2018 Edition and also make up your own mind.
YouTuber Kamer Kaan Avdan, who may have previously created concept videos for Microsoft windows, Windows 95 and Windows 7, has debuted the right video showcasing his vision of Windows — 2018 Edition.
This update, pots of Avdan’s previous concepts, takes everything we realize and love/hate about Windows, and gives it an up to date makeover, making use of a re-imagined sidebar and — currently 2018 — a dark mode.
Manage of this re-imagining of Windows? Do you prefer it to Windows 10? Figure out in the comments below.
Given that all this talk of Vista has you feeling nostalgic for a 11 year-old OS, perhaps you’d decide to read our launch story from 2007!
